Working with children checks
Working with children checks
|
|
As you may be aware, there is a legal requirement for all adults (those over 18) involved with children (those under 18) to undergo a Working With Children Check (WWCC). This requirement was first introduced several years ago, and is gradually being phased in – all lifesaving club members MUST have a WWCC by the time they renew their membership this year. This is a legal requirement.
When you submit the paperwork, you get a receipt number – please forward this number to Rhonda so that she can add it to a database. The form itself needs to be lodged at a post office, and there is no fee charged for voluntary organisations. For more information, refer to Circular 105.09.08 on the LSV website, or the Department of Justice website.
If you already have a WWCC card, you need to update the details to include WBSLSC as a volunteer organisation using a ‘Change of Personal Details’ form.
